YouTube Confirmed As Title Sponsor For Viacom’s Inaugural VidCon London

In the same capacity that it annually serves for VidCon U.S.as well as the first-ever VidCon Australia, YouTube has been confirmed as the title sponsor for the inaugural VidCon London, to be held from Feb. 14 to 17 at the London Excel.

As part of the partnership, YouTube’s head of culture and trends, Kevin Allocca, will deliver the creator keynote. That’s not the only programming that YouTube will furnish at the event. In a workshop entitled Nurturing Yourself And Your Business, creators will share firsthand knowledge about staying energized and battling burnout. And in Mean Tweets & Myth Busting, the YouTube team will read and respond to frequently asked questions about the platform, including notifications, subscriptions, monetization, and the ‘Trending’ tab.

“Sponsoring the first-ever VidCon in London is a hugely exciting moment for YouTube in Europe,” said Ben McOwen Wilson, the company’s director of partnerships for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. “It’s an incredible opportunity to celebrate the creators and channels from the region that have such a huge impact across the rest of the world.”

Creators slated to attend VidCon London include founder Hank Green, Gabbie Hanna, Marcus Butler, KSI, Patrick Starrr, Joey Graceffa, Elle Mills, Rhett & Link, Mark Ferris, and the Merrell Twins.

VidCon says it welcomed 90,000 attendees over the course of three events last year in the U.S., Australia, and Amsterdam.
