The co-owner of FaZe Clan wants to be the first person to beat KSI in an influencer boxing match

The influencer boxing trend is returning to Wembley Stadium. The venerated London venue will host a January 13 showdown that will be headlined by a bout between creators Olajide ‘KSI’ Olatunji and Tommy ‘FaZe Temper’ Oliveira.

Oliveira joined the fight card after Olatunji’s original opponent — mixed martial artist Dillon Danis — dropped out. The face of FaZe Clan is subbing in on short notice, but based on his social media activity, he’s excited for the opportunity to end Olatunji’s undefeated streak in the boxing ring.

The fight will be broadcast on the streaming service DAZN, which has seen big returns from its broadcasts of influencer boxing matches. This particular event is part of the X Series, a string of celebrity bouts put on by DAZN and Misfits Boxing.

The previous entry in that series, which also took place in London, featured both Olatunji and Oliveira. The former creator won two fights in one night, including a victory over Swarmz

, while the latter contender fell to Slim Alhaber. Both Swarmz and Alhaber are featured on the fight card for the upcoming event at Wembley.

Both Oliveira and Olatunji have played big roles in the founding of entertainment empires. Thanks to Oliveira’s leadership, FaZe Clan has evolved from a group of friends to a potent combo of esports and entertainment. Olatunji is one of the seven members of the Sidemen, who have built “Disney for Gen Z born from YouTube” during a decade-long career.

Olatunji has plenty of experience in the ring as well. He tussled with Logan Paul during a pair of high-profile bouts, and it will be hard for Oliveira to take him down. But there’s a silver lining for the FaZe Clan creator: Even if he loses, he and his opponent could go into business together.
