Hulu To Get A Little More Delicious With 24 Shows From Tastemade

Foodies, rejoice — Tastemade has signed a deal with Hulu to bring 24 of its shows to the streaming service.

The nonexclusive agreement will see all of the shows, which are generally between eight and 10 episodes each, pop up on Hulu from now through the end of this year, Variety reports.

Programs arriving on Hulu (which is still only available in the U.S.) include: Broken Bread, which follows chef and activist Roy Choi as he investigates our food system through a social justice lens; Just Jen, where influencer and food blogger Jen Phanomrat makes dishes tailored for different emotions; Heritage, featuring chefs whose approach to cooking is out of the ordinary; Make This Tonight, a DIY cooking show that spotlights chefs on the rise; and Basic v. Baller, where travel vloggers ‘The Vagabrothers’ (who have nearly one million subscribers on YouTube) explore cities around the world with an approach similar to BuzzFeed

“As consumers shift from traditional to connected TV, partnering with their go-to platforms like Hulu allows us to connect with viewers at scale and provide them with easy access to our premium shows,” Tastemade CEO Larry Fitzgibbon told Variety.

The deal isn’t Tastemade’s first venture into connected TV. In May 2018, it launched a 24-hour linear channel on YouTube TV that features round-the-clock programming, including new series and live shows. That channel has since been expanded to air on Roku, Samsung TV+, Comcast Xfinity X1, Apple TV Channels, Sony PlayStation Vue, Philo, and Xumo.

Also last year, Tastemade partnered with Disney to bring programming to its new food video brand Disney Eats.
