In addition to a slew of monetization updates announced today, Facebook is adding new features to Creator Studio — a desktop platform launched last September that allows users to manage posts and monetization, track video performance, and interact with fans.
Rolling out globally right now is a new ‘Monetization Overview’ section in Creator Studio, which will enable creators to manage all of their monetization products in one place — including Ad Breaks, branded content deals, and direct fan support (in the form of Subscriptions and Stars). The section will showcase monthly earnings, as well as track eligibility for Facebook’s various monetization products. As previously reported, Creator Studio is also integrating Instagram and IGTV insights and publishing tools into the platform.
Beyond the Creator Studio updates, Facebook is interfacing with creators IRL as VidCon looms large in the online video world. Today, the company will host its second annual Facebook Creator Day in Malibu, where participants will attend interactive sessions, panel discussions, networking activities, and other events.
Facebook will have a massive presence at VidCon again this year, it says, with five programming sessions that will cover episodic video hub Facebook Watch, creator tools, monetization, and more. Top Facebook creators slated to attend and participate in these sessions include Markian, Jay Shetty, Prince Ea, The Crazy Gorilla, Wuz Good, Tiffany Jenkins, and LadBaby.
