Booming Lifestyle Vlogger Wendy ‘Wengie’ Ayche Signs With UTA

The Australian-Chinese lifestyle vlogger Wengie is experiencing exponential growth on her YouTube channel, which is now at 4.6 million subscribers and counting — mere months after crossing the million subscriber threshold earlier this year. And now, Wengie, whose real name is Wendy Ayche, has signed with global talent and literary agency UTA, Variety reports.

In addition to her flagship channel, Ayche operates a vlogging channel with 760,000 subscribers. Altogether, she has amassed a total of roughly 215 million lifetime views. These skyrocketing numbers have helped Ayche, who is signed to multi-channel network Studio71, catapult to the #5 position on our list of the most-subscribed YouTube channels in the world last month with more than 784,000 subscribers in October.

Ayche will continue to be represented by Ashley Villa at The Rare Collective, according to Variety.

In March, Ayche told Tubefilter that she left a six-figure marketing gig to pursue YouTube as a full-time career. She currently resides in Australia and is renowned for her multicultural approach to beauty tips and tricks. Some of Ayche’s most popular videos are of the life hack and DIY variety, including DIY Edible School Supplies (11.4 million views) and 12 Life Hacks Every Lazy Person Should Know (8.2 million views).

Ayche’s social following also includes more than 580,000 fans on Instagram, 218,000 on Facebook, and 123,000 on Twitter.
