ÜberTube Summit To Bring Web Video Brand Marketing Community Together

As brands get more excited about web video, they actively seek out the best strategies for marketing their products on sites like YouTube. Those brands now have an event they can turn to if they want to learn more about online video marketing trends. Pixability has announced ÜberTube, a one-day summit devoted to branded web video content.

Pixability, a YouTube marketing agency known for its statistical insights, will run the event, though many of the most notable companies in the online video marketing industry are slated to present. There will be sessions on content and advertising which will instruct attendees how to get positive branded results on YouTube. Google VP of Brand Solutions Lucas Watson will deliver one of two keynotes; MediaPost editor Bob Garfield will deliver the second. Other presenters include Jamal Mashburn and Jonathan Sackett.

“Whether as an ad medium or a free venue for branded content, YouTube is increasingly a marketing channel,” said Garfield in a press release. “The question is: how to use YouTube properly? And the answer is: not the way most brands are using it now. It is phenomenal how wasteful and retrograde supposedly sophisticated marketers can be in what should be the new frontier.”

The first ÜberTube summit will take place April 29th in New York, running concurrently to the IAB’s Digital Content Newfronts. This timing will allow the event to bring in web-minded marketing executives, who can most benefit from a lesson in branded YouTube content.
