Ben Stiller Drops In On Yahoo’s Mock-Reality Series ‘Burning Love’

Ken Marino (Childrens Hospital) is starring in Yahoo’s latest original: mock-reality series Burning Love, which is slated to premiere on the Yahoo! Comedy Channel June 4th.

One part The Bachelor, one part Horrible People, Burning Love follows hunky fireman Mark Orlando (Marino) in his search for the perfect partner in a faux elimination-style reality show.

Teeming with irony, Burning Love features all the accoutrements you’d expect from a network reality series: from champagne toasts, candles, heartbreak, bubble baths, chocolate, choreography, hair extensions, roller skating, betrayal, and spray-tans.

“Mark Orlando is used to feeling the heat of fire,” says the narrator in the series trailer. “But now he’s looking for someone to ignite the flames of love.”

The trailer features Ben Stiller, the series’ executive producer along with fellow Red Hour producers Stuart Cornfeld and Mike Rosenstein, as well as Abominable Pictures’ Jonathan Stern, Marino, and Erica Oyama.

The series will also feature well-known comedic actors from film and television including Malin Akerman

(Rock of Ages), Kristen Bell (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), Michael Ian Black (The State), Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation), Ken Jeong (Community), Abigail Spencer (Cowboys & Aliens), Deanna Russo (Knight Rider), Natasha Leggero (Are You There, Chelsea?), June Diane Raphael (New Girl), Janet Varney (Entourage), Noureen DeWulf (Anger Management), Beth Dover (Childrens Hospital), Morgan Walsh (Happy Endings), Helen Slayton-Hughes (Parks and Recreation), Carla Gallo (Get Him to the Greek), Kerry Kenney (Reno 911), Jake Pavelka (The Bachelor), and Erin Muroski.

Marino and Black entertained the crowds with a Burning Love presentation at Yahoo’s NewFront earlier this month, which featured a massive slate of original programming featuring featured top Hollywood talent and industry leaders such as Tom Hanks, Katie Couric, and CSI creator Anthony Zuiker.

The series is written by Oyama and directed by Marino, with Paramount’s Insurge Pictures distributing.
