Kai Cenat has big plans: Creator ‘Hunger Games,’ more Soulslikes, and a chat with Kevin Hart

Kai Cenat is on a roll. After completing a marathon playthrough of the notoriously difficult video game Elden Ring, Cenat kept his hot streak going when he drew 400,000 viewers for a collab with actor and comedian Kevin Hart.

Hart teased his appearance on Cenat’s stream one month before the broadcast’s go-live date. He promised “big things” for the collab, and he did not disappoint Cenat’s 10.7 million Twitch followers. During a broadcast that lasted nearly four hours, Hart and Cenat presented comedic “gifts” and matched each other’s high-key energy. The affinity between the two entertainers comes as no surprise; Cenat, who has serious Hollywood ambitions, has been described as a Kevin Hart for the internet age.

Hart is not the first celebrity to appear alongside Cenat on his popular Twitch channel, and the streaming star is making sure to provide plenty more entertaining broadcasts for his ever-growing audience.

After enduring 17,000 deaths over a week-long Elden Ring, Cenat is eager to continue his education in the Soulslike genre

. His viewers can expect playthroughs of games like Sekiro and the Dark Souls trilogy. Will he attract another 220,000-strong concurrent viewer count, as he did when he played Elden Ring?

The viewership on Cenat’s video game streams may be unpredictable, but if he can pull off his version of a “creator Hunger Games,” he’s sure to turn heads. The 22-year-old Bronx native announced on his stream that he is getting 50 influencers together for a Hunger Games-style battle royale that will feature twists like “drones” and “combat suits.” Aside from those teasers, details about Cenat’s free-for-all aren’t available just yet, but that project could do for him what MrBeast’s Squid Game recreation did for Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson – essentially catapulting him into a new echelon of content, celebrity, and notoriety.

Cenat looks ready to build his star status; perhaps a role in an upcoming Kevin Hart movie will be part of that plan.
