Samsung Galaxy is now the official vlog camera of MrBeast

Jimmy Donaldson has turned to big tech to find a corporate sponsor for his blockbuster productions. The creator known as MrBeast has partnered with Samsung to make the Korean company’s Galaxy brand his official vlog camera.

As he spends millions to create large-scale videos that typically require multiple filming locations and camera angles, Donaldson is enhancing his tech to keep up. His North Carolina HQ has about $14 million of stuff in it, and his new deal will give him access to more top-of-the-line gadgets.

From Samsung’s Galaxy line, Donaldson has selected the Z Flip5 and Z Fold5 as his cameras of choices for his videos. In a recent upload, Donaldson’s good friend Karl Jacobs showed off the Flip5 while chilling in the passenger’s seat of a $2 million car.

In a statement, Donaldson described Samsung Galaxy products as simple, versatile devices that deliver high-quality footage. “I just like keeping that edge above everyone else as much as we can, which all wraps back into why we’re using these phones as our vlog cameras,” added Jason Elliot

, the Director of Photography for MrBeast.

Samsung promoted the partnership by releasing a behind-the-scenes look at Donaldson’s sportscar video. Using an assortment of devices and rigs, Samsung and the MrBeast team devised a setup that was capable of capturing crisp footage even as Donaldson drove at high speeds.

YouTube has become a key part of Samsung’s marketing strategy for its Galaxy Z Flip line. By rolling out YouTube-exclusive features and collaborating with top influencers, Samsung is positioning its devices as the cameras of choice for professional creators.

Donaldson is himself no stranger to brand partnerships. His previous sponsors have included a wide variety of companies, ranging from Sun-Maid to Amazon. His 185 million YouTube subscribers should expect more Samsung-captured footage to show up in future MrBeast videos.
