Studio71 Bringing Content From 100 YouTube Stars To Open Video Platform Rumble

Toronto-based Rumble, a service enabling video creators to host, share, monetize, and distribute content across multiple platforms such as AOL, YouTube, and Dailymotion from one centralized account, has just inked a deal with Studio71, an MCN that reps top creators like Flula Borg.

The deal will bring content from over 100 YouTubers to Rumble, the companies announced today, including other Studio71 signees Epic Meal Time, Matthew Santoro, Kathleen Lights, and The Dudesons.

“Our main goal has always been to help video creators increase distribution and monetize their videos,” said Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski in a statement. “This content deal with Studio71 shows that creators want to go beyond the YouTube ecosystem and find additional audiences — and additional revenue streams.” Rumble claims that creators typically earn up to five times more per view on its platform than on YouTube.

“We work with the world’s best talent at Studio71,” added Adam Boorstin, Studio71’s EVP of global digital distribution, “and we will continue to partner with leading platforms to distribute premium content to their audiences around the world.”

Today, Rumble comprises content from 23,000 creators, media companies, and celebrities, and generated 74 million views in 2015. It clocked 9.8 million views on mobile and desktop in March, the company said, citing comScore numbers — surpassing BuzzFeed, Amazon, and Vox. Studio71, which is the MCN subsidiary of German mass media company ProSiebenSat.1, says its portfolio of creators currently generate 5 billion overall views per month — up from 1.2 billion one year ago.
