Studio71, a multichannel network owned by German mass media company ProSiebenSat.1, has signed German digital superstar Flula Borg. He was formerly with Maker Studios and Defy Media.
Thirty-four-year-old Borg is renowned for live music remixes and eccentric commentary about American culture on his YouTube channel — which counts nearly 800,000 subscribers — as well as for appearing in feature films like Pitch Perfect 2 and the forthcoming Dirty Thirty. Borg also released an EP titled I Want To Touch You and will star in an NBC pilot called Cuckoo.

Up next for Borg is a feature film he co-wrote in and will star in called BuddyMoon, which is set to be released this summer in partnership with indie film distributor Gravitas.
“Flula has broken out far beyond YouTube with a dedicated fanbase who will follow him wherever he lives,” added Studio71 president Dan Weinstein. “We can’t wait help him further grow his audience, explore branded content opportunities, and increase his global reach.”
Studio71 also represents bold-faced creators like Lilly Singh, Epic Meal Time, and Rhett and Link. The global MCN was formed in 2015 when ProSiebenSat.1 combined its Berlin-based MCN of the same name with American MCN Collective Digital Studio to form a $240 million conglomerate.
