You Can Watch This Year’s Super Bowl Ads Through YouTube’s AdBlitz

AdBlitz is back. For the sixth year in a row, YouTube will let viewers choose their favorite Super Bowl commercial with its YouTube AdBlitz channel. It’s the third year in a row this feature has been available, and it is as packed as ever.

The main attraction at the AdBlitz channel is pre-game teasers which will allow to watch ads well before any football action goes down at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium. A handful of these teasers have already been posted, and more are surely on the way, though viewers will not be able to vote on their favorite spots until the big game concludes on February 2nd.

The AdBlitz channel will also house actual football highlights courtesy of Fox Sports as well as custom content created by YouTubers. The channel’s features, as well as some stats about the advertisers who choose to run their spots on AdBlitz before the game, are discussed during a trailer narrated by some British chap who admits to not knowing a whole lot about American handegg.

So, if you’re the kind of person who likes to make marketers happy by checking out Super Bowl ads before their respective airdates, AdBlitz is open for business. Personally, I’m on the record as a Super Bowl ad purist. I believe the whole experience is ruined if you kill the surprise for yourself, so I plan on waiting to fully explore AdBlitz until after the final whistle has sounded. If you’d rather be the know-it-all at your Super Bowl party, well, be my guest.
