TikTok Formally Unveils Jobs Discovery Platform With 40 Companies And 400 Listings

TikTok has formally launched its new — though previously-teased — career platform, TikTok Resumes.

The micro-video giant said it opted to create a job application destination amid the rise of career-related content currently flourishing on TikTok — or #CareerTok, per the platform’s parlance.

All told, 40 companies are listing nearly 400 jobs on TikTok Resumes as part of a two-week pilot program in the U.S. The venture is launching alongside companies who already have an existing relationship with the platform, including those who have active accounts or are advertising partners. This includes Chipotle, Target, WWE, Alo Yoga, Shopify, Contra, and Movers+Shakers.

A brief glimpse at the positions listed shows that many (but not all) are in realms like social media marketing, sales, communications, mobile development, and design — and thus are likely to appeal to TikTok’s Gen Z-skewing and socially savvy users. Openings are searchable via location, experience, or brand. Meredith is seeking an on-camera host and producer

, for instance, while NASCAR is hiring a digital marketing coordinator and Alo is looking for an events marketing manager.

Candidates are able to create video resumes on TikTok by hashtagging their clips with #TikTokResumes. Applications can be submitted from July 7 to 31.

The TikTok Resumes website — a standalone hub that’s accessible via the TikTok ‘Discover’ page — also comprises examples of standout TikTok videos resumes, and profiles of creators who focus on career-related content (including Wonsulting, GoharsGuide, CareerBabe, and Chrristen).

“TikTok Resumes is a natural extension of our TikTok College Ambassadors program, where we previously employed hundreds of college students as on-campus brand representatives,” TikTok marketing manager Kayla Dixon said in a statement. “We’re excited to help students and job seekers everywhere unleash their creativity and ‘get the bag.’”
