Wengie, the YouTube star and burgeoning K-pop idol, is expanding her toy empire to even more stores across America.
The line, dubbed Whimsical By Wengie — comprising body art, glitter lava lamps, unicorn hair kit, and slime packs — launched at 1,800 Target stores in July. And now, Wengie — whose real name is Wendy Ayche, and who counts 25 million followers across all of her social platforms — is bringing the line to Walgreens. Walgreens will exclusively vend new slime art DIY kits and six new scented slimes (including banana, watermelon, and pineapple) — with items available both in-store and online.
“Whimsical By Wengie has been one of the most special things that
I’ve created,” Ayche said in a statement. “I’m so thrilled that all my Wengiecorns have loved it as much as I do. These new toys are items that I love to use on my own channel — I especially can’t wait for everyone to try out the new slimes.”In addition to her expanding toy empire, Ayche’s music career continues to be on the up-and-up. She has released seven singles in the past year — most recently a duet with Filipino pop star Iñigo Pascual titled “Mr. Nice Guy.”
Ayche is repped by talent management firm by Rare Global, Asian Agent (for music), and UTA.
