UTA has poached digital talent agent Eman Redwan from CAA.
During her tenure at CAA, Redwan focused on strategic brand partnerships in the beauty and lifestyle category. Before that, she was an account executive at CBS Radio and a digital talent manager at social media marketing agency theAudience.
At UTA, Redwan will serve as an agent within the digital talent division, which reps a slew of nascent and established creators alike across platforms like YouTube and Instagram. All told, UTA says, its starry roster — which includes Shane Dawson, Shay Mitchell, Emma Chamberlain, Rhett & Link, Josh Peck, and Karina Garcia — generates over 1 billion monthly video views. And in 2018, the division closed over eight figures worth of deals, according to UTA, including apparel, merchandise, and toy businesses, as well as myriad licensing ventures.
“As our industry continues to evolve at lightning speed, it’s essential for us to have the best players on the field,” UTA’s head of digital talent, Greg Goodfried, said in a statement. “We are thrilled to have Eman join our team, as she not only brings a wealth of experience but also a comprehensive understanding of the space and deep relationships across the board.”
“UTA is taking a cutting-edge approach to representation, especially when it comes to their incredible roster of clients within the digital space,” Redwan said. “I’m thrilled to be a part of an incredible team that is cultivating a new generation of talent.”
