Shots Studios Unveils YouTube Channel Solely Dedicated To Vertical Videos

Acclaimed digital studio and talent management shop Shots Studios — which reps the likes of Lele Pons and Rudy Mancuso — is going all in on vertical video.

After serving as an integral launch partner for IGTV — widely seen as Instagram‘s answer to YouTube, except with vertical videos — Shots Studios has launched a YouTube channel completely dedicated to vertical video. The company said that the vertical format has been underutilized on YouTube thus far, and that by pushing the boundaries of the platform, it is seeking “an alternative way to connect with viewers.” The channel, dubbed The Shots Family, already counts 23,000 subscribers will feature the firm’s diverse talent roster in the kind of content that has made the studio famous: music, comedy, and even originals.

In launching the channel, Shots Studios notes that its creator roster — which also includes Hannah Stocking

, Anwar Jibawi, and starry musicians Anitta and Alesso — have amassed more than 35 million collective subscribers that deliver hundreds of millions of views per month, and more than one billion views over the past year.

“We’re always looking for ways to innovate and create an even better experience for viewers that want to laugh and enjoy great content,” Shots Studios co-founder and CEO John Shahidi said in a statement. And the format will be right at home on YouTube, which is typically suited to horizontal videos but has recently updated its player to adapt to vertical videos on both mobile devices and desktops.
