YouTube Star Rudy Mancuso, NBA Sharpshooter Stephen Curry Team Up For Music Video

If you need help keeping up with your New Year’s resolutions, it can help to get a little guidance from an NBA champion. That’s the setup for Rudy Mancuso‘s latest music video, which features Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Stephen Curry as its guest star.

At the beginning of the video, Mancuso resolves to live a healthier life in 2018, but one day into the new year, he has already reverted to a slovenly appearance. Enter Curry, who may or may not be a figment of Mancuso’s imagination. Together, the two talented individuals practice tai chi, eat vegetable-heavy salads, and take other steps to stay fit. They also replace Mancuso’s water bottles with an environmentally-friendly filter provided by Brita, the video’s sponsor.

This is Curry’s second collaboration with a social media star. Last year, he teamed up with Andrew “King Bach” Bachelor, who like Mancuso first gained prominence thanks to the six-second video app Vine. Both collaborations are sponsored by Brita, and both were produced by branded content studio Portal A.

Beyond his guest appearances alongside Mancuso and Bachelor, Curry has received additional exposure to the world of YouTube. His wife Ayesha has gathered close to 500,000 subscribers on her personal channel by uploading some of her favorite recipes, and Warriors teammate Kevin Durant has shared vlogs with his own community of fans. Durant and Mancuso both helped YouTube announce the expansion of its community tab back in November.

Mancuso, whose work includes sketches and branded videos, has more than 3.8 million subscribers on his YouTube channel. The content he has uploaded there has received close to 500 million views.
