Lifestyle vlogger Arden Rose, who counts roughly 1.5 million subscribers, is looking to dial up the production value on her flagship YouTube channel with a brand new web series titled Let’s Learn Japanese.
Bowing on Aug. 13, the 10-episode series will see Rose learning about Japanese culture from a local’s perspective, and will comprise comedic deep dives into topics like food, sexuality, calligraphy, and more. While Rose does not necessarily have a trip to Japan on the books, the show will seek to quench her intellectual curiosities. Co-hosted by actress and fellow YouTuber Lana McKissack, Let’s Learn Japanese will also feature interwoven animation sequences (see below).
Rose will serve as executive producer on Let’s Learn Japanese, which will mark the most premium series yet to live on her YouTube channel. It was produced and directed by Greg Porper
(CW Seed’s Jonah Green-starring Worst Birthday Ever). Rose’s manager at Big Frame, Byron Austen Ashley, also serves as an executive producer. New episodes will debut on her YouTube channel every Sunday through October.Rose, who is signed to the Awesomeness Creator Network and ICM Partners, published her debut book Almost Adulting in March, and has also appeared in several high-profile scripted series, including AwesomenessTV‘s Guidance and New Form Digital‘s Mr. Student Body President.
