Magician-Prankster Julius Dein Marks UTA London’s First Influencer Signing

Digital magician and prankster Julius Dein has been announced as the first influencer signing out of UTA’s London offices.

The global talent and literary agency already reps bold-faced creators like Shane Dawson, Kandee Johnson, and Joey Graceffa. Twenty-three-year-old Dein, who hails from London, will work with UTA on new digital projects, endorsements, TV opportunities, and touring. Dein said in a statement that he looks forward to “expanding the footprint of what I do to areas beyond the internet.”

Dein’s videos on Facebook

Instagram, and YouTube, where he counts 10.1 million followers, 1.3 million fans, and 340,000 subscribers, respectively, mix viral pranks with magic tricks. UTA says he’s one of the world’s fastest-growing social stars and the most-viewed internet magician in the world. His How To Impress A Girl With Magic Tricks series, for instance — in which he travels the world and stuns crowds with his cheeky brand of comedy — has accumulated 200 million views to date. Dein will continue to be managed by Mark Denby of The Creator Group.

“Dein is a unique talent who has combined his creative sensibilities with fantastic onscreen talent to reach a massive global audience,” said UTA digital media agent Greg Goodfried. “We are excited to find new and innovative opportunities for him across multiple platforms.”
