When one door closes, another opens.
Fresh off his abrupt exit from the hit Disney Channel show Bizaardvark on the heels of a viral legal battle with his neighbors, the highly polarizing digital star Jake Paul has joined music-focused streaming video platform LiveXLive as a contributing social editor and content creator. As the latest member of the platform’s social ambassador program, Paul joins previously announced contributors Amanda Cerny and Andrew ‘King Bach’ Bachelor.
In this new role, Paul will create short-form, music-related content — alongside Cerny and Bach as well as individually — for LiveXLive, a two-year-old, Loton-owned venture that streams music festivals like Rock In Rio as well as performances from top artists like Rihanna, Radiohead, and Bruce Springsteen. LiveXLive also develops music news programming and original documentaries that complement these streams.
Additional projects between Paul and LiveXLive will be announced later this year, the company says.
Paul kicked off his partnership with LiveXLive last month following his foray into music with the massively-viewed (and massively-ridiculed) video for It’s Everyday Bro, a rap anthem about Paul’s success as well as that of his YouTube creative collective Team 10. Following the single’s release — it debuted at No. 2 on iTunes and has subsequently racked up more than 75 million views — Paul organized a concert in downtown Los Angeles, which LiveXLive streamed exclusively on its platform for Paul’s global fandom
“Jake Paul has quickly demonstrated that he can create music-related content that resonates with young audiences by the millions,” said LiveXLive founder and CEO Robert Ellin. “With his music career launching at the same time that we’re expanding our original content production and live music streaming deals, this couldn’t be a better match.”
