Jon Hamm and More ‘Mad Men’ Go Bowling with the Nerdist

Can Jon Hamm get it in the 1-3 pocket at just the right angle? Can Matthew Weiner finesse a 7-10 split? Can Rich Sommer do something for charity with his clothes on? Can Vincent Kartheiser act conventionally normal in a social setting? Can online video audiences be entertained by the creator and cast of Mad Men going head-to-head against a handful of self-defined nerds in a bowling competition?

Yes. Probably Not. I’m kinda hoping the answer is “No.” No idea! And you’ll have to wait for the next installment of Chris Hardwick’s All-Star Celebrity Bowling to find out. But here’s a teaser, complete with a bowling-themed Mad Men intro custom made courtesy of Nerdist to entertain you until then.

Chris Hardwick’s All-Star Celebrity Bowling is a weekly battle royale taking place in the lanes and not over the lines where the winning team receives $10,000 to be gifted to a charity of its choice. The program is also one of the no less than 24 original web series

set to air on the Nerdist YouTube channel (which is part of that $100 million YouTube Originals initiative).

Previous episodes of All-Star Celebrity Bowling featured the team at YouTube powerhouse Machinima.com, prominent online video cooks and TV chefs (including Harley from Epic Meal Time and Hannah Hart from My Drunk Kitchen), and an uber-athletic team from cable TV network G4. Future episodes are slated to feature teams comprised of individuals from critically acclaimed television programming like Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead.

If you’re wondering how Hardwick was able to wrangle talent with household names into a morning and/or afternoon of sober bowling, it may have something to do with his affiliation with AMC. Hardwick hosts The Talking Dead, a live aftershow that delves into the idiosyncrasies of the plots, storyline, characters, sets and more of AMC’s popular dramatic series about zombies.
