‘South Park’ skewers Logan Paul, Prime Hydration, and OnlyFans in Paramount+ special

South Park has satirized all corners of American pop culture over its 26-season run. The show’s latest Paramount+ special took on the creator economy by poking fun at OnlyFansLogan Paul, and the questionable influencer marketing practices Paul has used to advertise his beverage brand.

The special, titled South Park: Not Suitable For Children, is the sixth South Park installment that Trey Parker and Matt Stone have released exclusively on Paramount+. The 42-minute program centers around a sports drink called Cred — a thinly veiled reference to Paul and KSI’s Prime. The kids at South Park Elementary are trying to acquire as many bottles of Cred as they can. Meanwhile, in videos that resemble the Prime Super Bowl ad, a South Park-ified version of Paul named Logan LeDouche inspires the kids to express their individuality (by buying Cred).

In the episode’s B-plot, Randy Marsh follows the lead of a local art teacher by opening an OnlyFans account. South Park‘s exploration of that platform includes a reference to OnlyFans star Tana Mongeau. Members of Mongeau’s subreddit noticed the allusion, and the creator herself gave South Park an enthusiastic shoutout on social media.

Thanks to Randy’s attire (or lack thereof) during the OnlyFans segments, Not Suitable For Children lives up to its title. The adults-only nature of special is part of the point. Prime’s kid-friendly marketing tactics, which have drawn scrutiny from U.S. regulators, are also in Parker and Stone’s crosshairs. The South Park creators depict fourth graders as Prime’s target audience, no matter what Paul claims. “A kid today is defined by their hydration drink,” Cartman says at the beginning of the special. “I have to have more Cred than anyone else.”

KSI, like Mongeau, reacted positively to South Park‘s parody of his creator career. His Prime partner-in-crime had a snarkier response. Paul embraced Not Suitable For Children with a shot-for-shot remake of Logan LeDouche’s monologue. “Thanks for the Cred,” he tweeted.

Not Suitable For Children arrived globally on December 21. It premieres in Italy on the 23rd, and according to Variety, more international markets will gain access to the special in the future.
