DrDisRespect tops iShowSpeed to become the most-watched North American streamer on YouTube

The internet’s favorite mulleted streamer just achieved a major milestone on YouTube. American creator DrDisRespect (real name Guy Beahm) has surpassed iShowSpeed (real name Darren Watkins, Jr.) to become the most-watched North American streamer on YouTube.

According to data compiled by StreamsCharts, DrDisRespect received 4.93 million hours of watch time over a three-month span. That total pushed him past iShowSpeed, who accrued 4.61 million hours of watch time over the same period. Texas-based gamer TimTheTatman placed third in the StreamCharts YouTube rankings, while Ludwig ranked fourth.

DrDisRespect logged more than 266 hours of airtime over the three-month measurement period. That was the highest total among any of the top five creators in StreamCharts’ ranking. For comparison, iShowSpeed streamed on YouTube for just 92 hours. The latter creator has the luxury of streaming across all platforms now that his Twitch account has been unbanned. DrDisRespect has not gone live on Twitch since he was banned on the platform in 2020. The circumstances surrounding that decision have never been made clear; in 2022, DrDisRespect reached a settlement with Twitch

in a lawsuit related to his permaban.

In the three years since that ill-fated moment, DrDisRespect has stayed active. His YouTube streams, which reach 4.5 million subscribers, have consistently drawn big audiences. He launched a video game studio called Midnight Society in 2021.

Though DrDisRespect and iShowSpeed are still big draws on YouTube, they both have a ways to go before they catch the top dog in the streaming world. Per StreamsCharts, xQc is still the most-watched streamer across all platforms. Across three months, the French-Canadian star put in a whopping 617 hours of airtime across Twitch and Kick and drew 23 million hours of watch time.
