Did you miss YouTube’s Beauty Festival? You can rewatch the entire stream online.

YouTube’s celebration of beauty videos hit Los Angeles on June 17, and the attending creators looked absolutely fabulous.

The second-annual Beauty Festival was a two-hour, star-studded affair, and if you weren’t able to grab a seat in the studio audience or watch the festivities live, you can now replay the stream on YouTube. The VOD version of the event is available on the personal channel of Derek Blasberg, the YouTube exec who served as the event’s emcee.

The 2022 Beauty Festival was announced last month at YouTube’s annual Brandcast. The event originally debuted in 2021 as more of a conference than a live show; its return this year came with a few changes. Most notably, YouTube used the gathering of beauty gurus to highlight a number of features that are making its videos more shoppable. The musical artist Kehlani joined the fun for a ‘Shoppable Shorts Challenge’ that made use of YouTube’s TikTok competitor, and many of the products that appeared during the event could be purchased from the stream thanks to YouTube’s digital shopping innovations

.

Blasberg, a veteran fashion journalist, joined YouTube in 2018. “We did this once last year,” Blasberg said during his introduction of the 2022 Beauty Festival, “and it was such a smashing success that we said, you know what, we should do it all over again, but this time, it’s live.”

One thing that didn’t change between the 2021 and 2022 Beauty Festivals is the A-list nature of the event. Both events were star-powered affairs, with big names from both the traditional and digital beauty worlds coming together for talks, demos, and tutorials. Attendees of the most recent Beauty Festival included Tracee Ellis Ross, Gwen Stefani, SSSniperWolf, and Patrick Starrr. Judging from the activity in the chat window during the live stream, plenty of viewers tuned in to see their favorite creators, so that bodes well for the future. While we can’t say for sure, a third-annual Beauty Festival seems like a good bet for 2023.
