Patrick Starrr Launches Influencer Incubator And Management Agency ‘The Beauty Coop’

OG beauty guru and long-term MAC collaborator Patrick Starrr is looking to pass on his learnings to the next generation of male beauty vloggers.

Over the past year, Starrr has formed his very own influencer incubator and talent agency, called The Beauty Coop. To date, he has signed seven clients, WWD reports, including Zackary Vang (110,000 followers), Cohl’s World (360,000 followers), and Jose Jimenez (256,000 followers) — each of whom is predominantly active on Instagram. The company counts three employees: Starrr, his agent Katie, and their lawyer.

And the members of Starrr’s coop are ready to fly. Earlier this month, Vang and Cohl’s World — who Starrr met at a event for beauty brand Benefit — debuted their first beauty product collab, which has become something or a rite of passage and an impressive feather in any beauty guru’s cap. Vang and Cohl fronted the first all-male collection from another brand called Buxom, dubbed Boy Babes, with all of the campaign imagery and announcement videos shot and edited by Starrr.

Starrr also works with the members of his squad on top tips for YouTube

and Instagram content, and also provides them with proper camera and lighting equipment. He even hosted an educational day with his personal editor to go over filming and editing techniques.

“I have so much knowledge coming off the heels of MAC,” Starrr told WWD. “ [Vang and Cohl’s World] are now valuable in the industry, so having the ins and outs of the industry along with my team and my experience, I said, why not utilize that and pass it on?”

Starrr continues to be repped by Digital Brand Architects, and told the outlet that “there’s no conflict of interest” now that he has launched his own firm. And while he wants to keep the Coop “very boutique and very personal” without a lot of client turnover, he acknowledges that now that the word is out, it’s unclear how feasible that will ultimately be: “my DMs and emails are going to flood,” he said.
