Canadian Digital Marketing Conference InfluenceTHIS To Tackle Direct-To-Consumer Economy On May 15

Toronto-based influenceThis — a three-year-old conference that brings together roughly 450 players within Canada’s influencer and social media marketing industries, is hosting its next event on Wednesday that will be themed around the direct-to-consumer economy.

Creators, agencies, and marketing professionals will convene to discuss direct-to-consumer brands — such as Casper, Allbirds, and Birchbox. Jonah Fay-Hurvitz, a branding vet who has worked with each of the aforementioned companies, will deliver the opening keynote for the event at the Artscape Daniels Launchpad in Toronto.

Other presenters include: Airbnb content marketing head Hayley Nelson; #paid founder and CEO Bryan Gold; Gwen Miller, the VP of content strategy at Kin; MSL Group CEO Guillaume Herbette; and Amanda Rotstein, who works in brand partnerships and social at Bell Media. Programming will cover cannabis marketing, measuring influencer ROI, the gaming landscape, and more. Guests will also have the opportunity to pre-book meetings with attendee marketers.

And influenceTHIS will conclude with a Creator Meet Up at day’s end, where Canadian influencers will be invited to network and forge collaborations. During the meetup, Evio Beauty founder and CEO Brandi Leifso will walk attendees through her entrepreneurial journey of creating a conscious beauty brand. Also slated to attend the creator meet-up are vegan chef Candice Hutchings, travel vlogger Siya Zarrabi, and aspiring host Femi Lawson.

“influenceTHIS continues to actively build the Canadian marketing ecosystem by bringing together marketers who are running influencer and social marketing campaigns and matching them with agencies and creators who have the expertise to design and run them,” influenceTHIS co-founder Mark Greenspan said in a statement.
