YouTube TV Now Live In 10 More Markets, Including D.C., Houston, And Atlanta

YouTube‘s live television streaming service, YouTube TV, announced an expansion into 10 additional markets last month at VidCon. And now, the bundle of roughly 50 cable channels is officially available in Washington, D.C., Houston, Atlanta, Phoenix, Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne, Charlotte, and Dallas-Fort Worth.

The expansion will serve “millions more people,” according to a release, and marks the first time that nine of the above markets (excluding Dallas-Fort Worth) will have access to a digital TV service featuring live local feeds of the four major broadcast networks, including ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC.

Launched last April in New York, Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, Philadelphia, and Chicago, YouTube TV is priced at $35 per month and offers subscribers six total accounts — each with unlimited DVR storage. The service has recently added

several new channels to its roster, including AMC, BBC World News, IFC, We TV, the Sundance Channel, the Olympic Channel, and Telemundo. At launch, YouTube TV featured ESPN, FX, USA, the Disney Channel, Bravo, MSNBC, Fox News, and more.
