Logan Paul, Amanda Cerny To Headline Shows From Blackpills And Cupertino Productions

Nascent French digital media company blackpills, which focuses on short-form, scripted, premium content, has announced today a partnership with the entrepreneur Paolo Moreno — founder of the mobile-first entertainment studio Cupertino Productions — to launch seven shows headlined by influencers like Logan Paul and Amanda Cerny.

Moreno, who made his fortunes in 2013 via SFX Entertainment — an electronic dance music (EDM) festival conglomerate — will serve as executive producer on the forthcoming shows, while noted film producer Guillaume Lacroix, of Together Media 2, will serve as associate director. The first of the seven series will bow in early 2018 on the blackpills app, which launched in May on both iOS and Android. Other shows, featuring stars from the traditional and digital worlds, will be announced in coming months.

“Blackpills pushes the boundaries, teetering on the

edge of what society deems familiar or ‘acceptable,’ in the same vein as I do with my brand,” Paul said in a statement. (His involvement with blackpills was first announced late last year). “I’m stoked to join the family and create next-level content for my fans as I grow as an actor, entertainer, and creator.”

“Blackpills is very proud to welcome [these digital influencers] and bring them the subjects, teams, and creative means that will enable them to attract and engage even more young people,” added the company’s co-founder Patrick Holzman. “This global deal is unique and will quickly enable blackpills to build a strong brand with its audience.”

Blackpills also has projects in the works with James Franco, Bryan Singer, DeStorm Power, and Christian DelGrosso.
