Contestants Shout “I Want My Phone Back” In New Episodes Of CollegeHumor’s Game Show

CollegeHumor’s new game show tortures the people who are constantly glued to their phones. It’s called I Want My Phone Back, it gives its hosts free reign over its contestants’ mobile devices, and it just launched new episodes on Comcast’s Watchable platform.

The premise of I Want My Phone Back is simple. CollegeHumor’s agents, led by Alana Johnston, convince contestants to hand over their phones. Once in possession of the mobile devices, the comedy platform’s hosts then ask if they can send increasingly embarrassing texts, tweets, and calls in exchange for monetary rewards. The game ends whenever the contestant says “I want my phone back,” at which point they regain control of their mobile life and walk away with however much money they have earned up to that point. A number of challenges, including one where contestants must type a text while moving through several obstacles, add to the competition.

I Want My Phone Back premiered last month on Watchable. CollegeHumor rolled out a batch of new episodes on December 5th, bringing the game show’s total first season run up to ten installments. Here, courtesy of CollegeHumor’s Big Breakfast production company, is one of the new episodes:

Watchable launched back in 2015 as a hub for digital content curated by Comcast. In August 2016, the platform unveiled its lineup of original programs. Beyond CollegeHumor, other companies working with Watchable include Refinery29, Studio71, and mitú. You can check out the platform’s shows on your browser of choice or, alternatively, on your mobile device — assuming CollegeHumor hasn’t commandeered it yet.
