Gigi Gorgeous Teams With YouTube And HRC On Transgender Awareness Week Video

Gigi Gorgeous, one of the foremost transgender creators online, kicked off Transgender Awareness Week on her YouTube channel yesterday with a new series titled Kiki With Gigi Gorgeous. Transgender Awareness Week, held annually between Nov. 14 and 20, aims to raise visibility for transgender and non-gender conforming people, according to LGBTQ organization HRC.

On the first episode of Kiki With Gigi, the lifestyle vlogger invited fellow members of the LGBTQ community to her apartment for a chat about everything from their favorite drinks to how they came to grips with their respective gender identities and sexualities. Guests included YouTube star Kingsley, trans model Andrea Pejic, HRC national press secretary Sarah McBride, and reality star EJ Johnson.

The show was produced by Select Next

, the content division of Gigi’s management company, Select Management Group, in collaboration with YouTube and the HRC.

In the video, which also covers North Carolina’s bathroom bill — stating that citizens must use public restrooms in accordance with the gender they were assigned at birth — and anti-LGBTQ immigration laws in the Middle East, Gigi also teases in passing her forthcoming documentary for YouTube Red. That feature film is slated to bow early next year and will chronicle her life’s journey. In the meantime, you can check out the debut episode of Kiki With Gigi Gorgeous right here:
