YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki Among 40 Business Luminaries Endorsing Hillary Clinton

YouTube may have just launched a site-wide campaign in order to get young viewers to register to vote and turn up at the polls come November, but the company’s CEO has now made clear her candidate of choice.

Susan Wojcicki is one of 40 business executives who endorsed Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton today — alongside DreamWorks chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg, PayPal chairman John Donahoe, Expedia CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, and Sprint CEO Marcelo ClaureFortune reports.

The Clinton campaign rolled out the list of 40 CEO supporters after announcing 52 other business leaders who endorsed Clinton over the summer. That list included The Chernin Group CEO Peter Chernin, IAC chairman Barry Diller, Netflix founder and CEO Reed Hastings, Tumblr founder and CEO David Karp, and Alphabet executive chairman Eric Schmidt.

“A growing number of business leaders recognize Hillary Clinton is the right candidate for the economy,” campaign chairman John Podesta said of the endorsements in a statement. “Donald Trump’s plan would balloon the debt while costing jobs — setting our economy back and leaving the middle class out in the cold.”

Earlier this week, YouTube launched a social campaign dubbed #voteIRL, which will put registration reminders on the site’s homepage, watch pages, and search results pages on National Voter Registration Day, which is Sept. 27. Top YouTube creators — including Anna Akana, Philip DeFranco, Hank Green, Laci Green, Hannah Hart, Kingsley, Bethany Mota, Franchesca Ramsey, Cenk Uygur, and Mark Watson — also lent their hands to a campaign video encouraging young people to vote.
