For The Second Year In A Row, YouTube Stars Will Stand Up To Cancer

For the second year in a row, a large number of YouTube stars are coming together to Stand Up To Cancer. The charitable program has once again turned to Princess Productions, a subsidiary of Endemol Shine Group, to produce a fundraising live stream in support of its yearly drive.

Last year, Princess’ Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) stream featured more than a dozen YouTube stars and rallied millions of fans behind a common cause. This year’s effort is expected to be even bigger, with at least 30 stars, including Zoella and Caspar Lee, joining the initiative. The centerpiece will be a live stream that will take place on October 15th.

“We are thrilled to be producing such a ground-breaking and inspirational event for Stand Up To Cancer and YouTube,” said Princess Productions Managing Director Emma Hardy in a press release. “It’s a hugely positive continuation of our work with the Creators, who we are extremely grateful to for kindly donating their time to such a worthy cause.”

In a press release, Endemol shared the names of digital media personalities who will participate in more than 1,000 hours of fundraising for the SU2C campaign. The list includes Dan and Phil, Zoella, Caspar Lee, Joe Sugg, AlfieDeyes, Louise Sprinkle of Glitter, Marcus Butler, Ali A, Pixiwoo, Oli White, Sorted Food, Jim Chapman, The Saccone-Joly Family, Spencer FC, Niomi Smart, Niki and Sammy, Chai Cameron, Stuart Ashen, The Lean Machines, AJ3, Carly Rowena, The Mandeville Sisters, Doug Armstrong, Lucy & Lydia, Rose and Rosie and many more..

Over the years, a number of media companies have harnessed the power of the Internet in order to spread SU2C’s message. A number of celebrities got together for a World Cancer Day video in 2013, and JASH put a comedic spin on fundraising efforts through an ugly Christmas sweater video released later the same year.
