BuzzFeed Premieres Racy Reality Series ‘Modern Sex’ Exclusively On Go90

BuzzFeed Video has premiered its second-ever series on Verizon’s Go90 video platform, a decidedly adult-leaning reality show titled Modern Sex, which follows real-life millennial couples trying out new experiences with the help of intimacy experts. Its first series for the Verizon-owned platform was a scripted comedy last December titled Relationship Goals.

In the first episode of Modern Sex, an engaged couple seeks out advice from porn star Jessica Drake about how to make a sex tape. “The bedroom doors are opened, and no topic is too taboo,” according to a release. “It’s a playful, sex-positive series that provides honest insights into what sex looks like today.”

Additional episodes will tackle BDSM and boudoir shoots. To keep the proceedings somewhat PG, the learnings are then reenacted by actors wearing nude bodysuits “in a way that is both maudlin and strangely helpful,” according to the companies. The first episode, which is rated TV-MA — and comes with a warning message cautioning viewer discretion — is currently live. Additional installments will premiere exclusively on Go90 every Wednesday at 9 am EST.

Modern Sex may seem like something of a racy departure for Go90, which is home to series starring popular young influencers, as well as Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s long-anticipated game show The Runner. Earlier this month, Go90 tapped former YouTube and Vessel exec Ivana Kirkbride to serve as chief content officer. In addition to slotting its first series on Go90, BuzzFeed, for its part, is currently readying its first feature film called Brother Orange in partnership with Warner Bros.
