Defy Media’s ‘Super Fan Builds’ Brings Pop Culture Crafts To Go90

Defy Media has brought back one of its proprietary web series, albeit in a new location. The digital media company has launched a new season of Super Fan Builds on Verizon’s mobile-first video platform Go90.

In each episode of Super Fan Builds, the show’s cast of Hollywood prop builders surprises a superfan of a specific pop culture franchise by gifting him or her a detailed craft project related to his or her favorite film, TV show, or video game. Past projects undertaken by the Super Fan Builds team have included a swing set held up by Guardians of the Galaxy’s Groot, a block of Final Fantasy-themed kitchen knives, and a toilet shaped like Game of Thrones’ Iron Throne.

Super Fan Builds often utilizes brand sponsors, and its third season is no exception. The first new episode, for example, is tied into the How To Train Your Dragon franchise (and its Dragons: Race to the Edge TV series in particular). The result build is a couch shaped like Toothless, the franchise’s draconic protagonist.

While the first two episodes of Super Fan Builds will be available on Go90 and the Defy-owned AWEme YouTube channel, future installments will be exclusively available on Go90. Previous projects produced by Defy for the mobile video platform include the globetrotting series 100 Things. Go90 is available on both the App Store and Google Play.
