Wayfair, Kin Community To Debut Home Makeover Show, Starting With Rosanna Pansino

Wayfair is well-known in the home furnishings and decor arena, and soon it will be more prominent in the online video world, too. The interior design-based company has partnered with female-centric YouTube multi-channel network Kin Community to launch the new web series Overhaul on May 9, 2015.

Created by Kin and Wayfair’s executive creative director Christiane Lemieux (who also hosts the show), Overhaul will introduce viewers to the latest home decorating styles and trends, all through home makeovers and design solutions for some of today’s most recognized celebrities. Viewers will be able to click within each video to be taken to the “Kin Store” on wayfair.com to buy the products featured in each episode.

The first star to get a home makeover is YouTube’s own Rosanna Pansino, a lifestyle and baking vlogger famous for her Nerdy Nummies series (which landed her a tutorial-making deal with Wilton cake brand). Pansino, boasting over 3.8 million subscribers on her YouTube channel and originally featured in YouTube’s first round of TV ads, will host an Overhaul behind-the-scenes video on her channel, taking viewers on a tour of her newly-designed home.

Kin Community’s channel will host the first full Overhaul episode with Lemieux and Pansino, and Wayfair will feature the products used to design Pansino’s home interior on its channel. Related “how-to” videos for Overhaul will be found on Lemieux’s personal channel.

“We are thrilled to partner with Wayfair, Christiane, and Rosanna to bring a unique content and e-commerce experience to our audiences in one of our fastest growing verticals,” said Sarah Passe, VP of Business Development at Kin Community, in a release. “The Overhaul series marks a real first in the home space. It’s now easier than ever for consumers to bring home perfect design.”

“It has been awesome working with Christiane and Wayfair,” added Pansino.  “I hope my viewers will be excited see behind-the-scenes and experience all the fun we had with the home makeover. Christiane was able to transform my house into something both beautiful and functional.”

You can watch the first episode of Overhaul on Kin Community’s YouTube channel on May 9, as well as Pansino’s home tour on her YouTube vertical.
