During this year’s NBA playoffs, LeBron James will take his talents to Uninterrupted. The Cleveland Cavaliers star is using Bleacher Report‘s new video portal to share some off-the-court videos during his team’s postseason run.
Visitors to Uninterrupted–which launched in January as a video site catered to athletes–will find several videos in which James details his off-the-court happenings during the playoffs. In a recent video, for example, he discusses his preparations for Game Two of the Cavaliers’ first round series against the Boston Celtics.
King James isn’t the only NBA player sharing videos on Bleacher Report’s new platform. Draymond Green, whose Golden State Warriors are considered a favorite to win the NBA championship, is also using Uninterrupted to catalog his own journey through the postseason.
James decision to use Uninterrupted during the playoffs goes against his usual lack of postseason social media presence; because of his “zero dark thirty-23
” policy, he generally does not tweet during the playoffs. At the same time, his presence on Uninterrupted is not a surprise, since he co-founded the platform alongside Bleacher Report owner Turner Broadcasting. At the time, his website stated Uninterrupted would give fans “direct access to hear and see what their favorite athletes have to say, straight from the athlete.”Just as Derek Jeter provides star power for his recently-launched website The Players’ Tribune, James’ videos will attract visitors to the new video platform. For fans looking to see the NBA’s best biggest star in a light that transcends post-game press snippets, Uninterrupted hopes to provide a fresh look.
