Geek and Sundry is feeling festive, and it is celebrating Halloween with an entire week of spooky programming. The online video channel run by Felicia Day has released the first two episodes of Morganville: The Series, a web adaptation of a series of vampire novels.
The Morganville novels, authored by Rachel Caine, follow a young woman named Claire who moves into a town ruled by vampires. The series spans 15 novels, several of which have ended up on the New York Times bestseller list. Geek and Sundry’s web series version was first revealed in April, and it is partially funded by a previous Kickstarter campaign launched by Caine.
Here’s the first episode, directed by new media veteran Blake Calhoun:
The series was initially planned for a summertime release, though it was ultimately moved to a more fitting October debut. It is part of Geek and Sundry’s Halloweek, which will include new episodes of web series like Space Janitors and Your Dungeon, My Dragon. The week will conclude with the sixth and final episode of Morganville, which is sure to be filled with sharp-toothed bloodsuckers.
