On May 28th, a collection of YouTube’s brightest musicians will join John Legend for a live concert. The event, titled YouTube Onstage Live, will go down at 7:30 PM EST from DC’s Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The venue’s YouTube channel has posted a live stream of the event, which has been embedded below.
Legend will take the stage alongside five musical groups with big followings on YouTube: Lindsey Stirling, Scott Bradlee & Postmodern Jukebox, Les Twins, DJ Mike Relm, and Playing for Change (who have been added to the lineup since we first heard about the event). Legend curated the lineup with some help from YouTube, and several of these performers have teamed with the R&B superstar or covered him in the past.
The show will be hosted by Sal Masekela and will include a tribute to the late Zach Sobiech, a cancer patient whose song “Clouds” has received more than 10 million views to date. A full house of 2,000 attendees is expected.
