Tubefilter Meetup: Mobile—Online Video’s Next Frontier

According to YouTube’s statistics page, almost 40% of YouTube’s watch time is on mobile devices. Unfortunately for creators, most of those YouTube mobile views are not monetized. That’s part of the reason effective CPMs are declining—the average YouTube CPM was $7.60 in 2013, down $1.75 from it’s 2012 average of $9.35.

As creators attempt to build out sustainable business models for online video, mobile platforms have presented promising opportunities to capture, engage, and monetize audiences. Typical CPMs for mobile video views are 2-3 times that of online video—but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Services make it easier (and more affordable) to leverage mobile devices to grow your brand and your business. New mobile opportunities – like games, merchandise, ticket sales, direct downloads, in-app purchases, and more – provide additional engagement options for rabid fan bases.

Learn from the experts in a candid discussion on the opportunities, best practices, and the future of mobile and online video. And we’ll be announcing more stellar panelists before the event.
