Funny Or Die’s Next TV Production Will Be A Docu-Series On Discovery

While Funny or Die will always be best known as a online home for Will Ferrell and all of his funny comedian friends, it has recently taken strides to become a major player on TV. The comedy website will continue those efforts by producing a docu-series for the Discovery Channel about strength and conditioning coach Mike Barwis

.

The project is as of yet untitled, but it will follow Barwis as he trains high profile athletes at at his intense, top-of-the-line Barwis Methods Training Center. One episode has already been filmed, with ‘Honey Badger’ Tyrann Mathieu taking on the training regimen Barwis has previously promoted on his personal YouTube channel.

At this point, it’s hard to say exactly what form the docu-series will take, but Funny or Die President of Production Mike Farah describes it as such:

“We’re really excited to expand Funny Or Die’s TV slate with the Barwis project with Discovery. The show combines sports, comedy, competition and emotion in a way that no one has seen before. Mike Barwis is a star in the making and if anyone disagrees I’ll send him to choke you out. So, yeah, don’t disagree.”

Stay tuned to your television set for this and more Funny or Die programming, as the internet-born-and-bred entertainment network seems to be performing well on the traditional medium.
