Starting on November 1st, men all over the world will begin growing questionable-looking moustaches to raise awareness for prostate cancer through the now-ten-year-old Movember campaign. Unfortunately, not everyone who wishes to support this charity is able to grow a thick, hairy upper-lip embellishment on his own. Some of us need a coach, and that’s where Made Man comes in.
For the second year in a row, the Defy Media vertical is bringing in mustachioed actor Nick Offerman for a few facial hair-related videos. Last Movember, Offerman (best known for playing manly man Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation) gave Made Man viewers a pair of pep talks, which combined to draw in more than two million views. This time around, he is previewing Movember with a segment called ‘Great Moments in Moustache History‘.
‘Great Moments’ is the first of what will be a slew of Movember videos coming from Made Man, which is teaming with the charity for the third year running. “The Movember partnership is one of our favorite programs that we participate in during the year, and the opportunity to work with Nick again was such an honor,” said Michael Martin, editor-in-chief of Made Man. “From both a creative and social responsibility perspective, we believe in the Movember cause and are proud to help raise awareness through our Made Man channels for a third year running.”
Offerman himself will return for a motivational video in mid-November. Until then, start trimming, boys. Let’s get our upper lip hairs ready for November 1st so that our initial Movember offerings don’t fall into the ‘middle school‘ category.
