YouTube Millionaires: Brittani Louise Taylor Is “Tickled Pink”

Welcome to YouTube Millionaires, where we profile channels that have recently crossed the one million subscriber mark. There are channels crossing this threshold every week, and each has a story to tell about YouTube success. Read previous installments of YouTube Millionaires here.

Brittani Louise Taylor got her start on YouTube under the alias Rhonda Anthony Tanner, but she soon learned she didn’t need to hide behind an alter ego to find online video success. A creator known for her music video parodies, sketches, and vlogs, Taylor has now exceeded one million subscribers. Here’s what she had to say about the milestone:

Brittani Louise Taylor: Very exciting!  I am tickled pink!  It is crazy to think that over a million people have subscribed to my channel.

TF: How much do you think of your fans’ interests when you’re making a video?

BLT: I just try to have fun and make videos that I am proud of.  That being said, I would be silly not to try make videos that my audience would enjoy watching.  I’m an entertainer, so if they are entertained and happy, I’m happy!

TF: Do you root for musicians to make ridiculous music videos so that they are ripe for parody?

BLT: YES!  Bring on the crazy!

TF: On that note, I’m guessing you’ve got something planned for Miley’s ‘Wrecking Ball’ video

. Any hints you can share with us?

BLT: I think I am doing a cover on Katy Perry’s ‘Roar’ next.  Every once and a while I like to do a cover or go serious with a video.

TF: What inspires your unique brand of visual art?

BLT: Anything and everything.  I am a sponge, so I am constantly observing and absorbing.  I think that every actor should make YouTube videos.  You learn to produce, write, edit, direct, etc. because that is what it takes to get the job done.  A camera smart actor is the best kind of actor.

TF: How has the YouTube community affected you personally?

BLT: It has been the most incredible blessing.  I have made some of the best friends a girl could ask for on, and off, the internet.

TF: Would you like to more heavily branch out in other media like TV and film or are you content with a predominant YouTube presence?

BLT: I just want be a part of good content.  I started my YouTube channel trying to break into TV and Film, but I have seen the industry change so much in the past six years.  Everything is blending, lines are crossing, all the future filmmakers are on Youtube so it makes sense that everything is going online.

TF: What’s up next for your YouTube channel? Any concrete plans for the future?

BLT: I have written an eight episode web series, shooting the pilot soon!  Would love to turn that into something bigger.  My plans are just to keep working hard and enjoying this wild ride called YouTube!
