Dozens of YouTube stars will make their way to the Anaheim Convention Center between August 1-3 for the fourth annual rendition of Vidcon, the largest convention dedicated to online video. Alongside those YouTubers will be thousands of their fans; for the first time, Vidcon’s attendance is expected to exceed 10,000 people.
Vidcon’s attendees will include both industry professionals and fans. The former group will attend a series of presentations on August 1st, while the latter one will descend upon Anaheim the next day for a series of performances, meet-and-greets, panels, and parties.
“Even when VidCon was just 1,000 people in a hotel, it was our goal for the conference to reflect the growth and culture of the online video industry,” said Hank Green,
creator and co-founder of VidCon, “VidCon’s exponential growth over the last four years is indicative of online video’s impact on the entertainment industry and on our everyday lives.”Many YouTubers have already confirmed their places among the convention’s attendees. Smosh, Philip DeFranco, The Fine Brothers, Felicia Day, iJustine, Hannah Hart, Daily Grace, Kassem G, Shay Carl, Hank and John Green, Dane Boe, Freddie Wong and Brandon Laatsch, Charlie McDonnell, and Jenna Marbles will all be present.
If you’d like a part of Vidcon’s record-setting attendance, you can do so by purchasing a pass at Vidcon’s website.
