Anyone who has gone swimming with the sharks of ABC Television’s hit show Shark Tank knows Lori Greiner, Mark Cuban, Daymond John and Mr. Wonderful Kevin O’Leary (Editor’s Note: That’s a joke by the way – he’s clearly not a Mr. Wonderful) are all business. Those who try to swim with these sharks find out it can be a dangerous activity or life-changing opportunity for success.

In this installment of Behind the Brand I dove into the deep end with fashion & branding shark Daymond John who shares his rags to FUBU story that includes such humble beginnings as getting coffee for LL Cool J and selling t-shirts out of his car.

@TheSharkDaymond is incredibly candid and honest about what it takes to succeed – especially for the Gen Y and Millennials in the audience – and is more than willing to share his secrets to success. One particularly pithy insight he shared was his answer to my question of whether entrepreneurs are born or made. (Spoiler Alert: His response is great.)

Check out the video below to see all the insights John has to offer and be sure to let me know your take. Leave a comment below or tweet me @BryanElliott to join the conversation or ask a question.
