Smosh, Corridor Digital, FreddieW To Battle In ‘Video Game Olympics’

A handful of YouTube’s most popular nerds are coming together for a rumble…in the living room. Smosh Games and Node Studios have joined forces for Video Game Olympics, a multi-game gauntlet filled with camaraderie, competition, and, most assuredly, a big time viewcount.

Video Game Olympics will be split into two parts. Featured gamers will include the team from Smosh Games, including Ian Hecox, Anthony Padilla, and the ClevverGames crew, as well as some of the contributors to Node, such as Freddie Wong and Brandon Laatsch of Freddiew and Sam Gorski and Niko Pueringer of Corridor Digital.

The recently released trailer hints some of the games that will be included, such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl

, Halo 3, and Mario Kart. The full event will roll out in two parts, with the first one debuting on May 10.

This mainly seems like an excuse for a bunch of gamers to get together and have a good time, all while drawing in millions of viewers. When you see how much fun they seem to be having, I can’t say I blame them.
