ChimneySwift11, Pwnisher Go Live! On Kickstarter

Zach Braff’s Kickstarter campaign for Wish I Was Here raised over $2.4 million in less than two weeks’ time. After pulling in over $334,958 in the opening few hours, Braff’s short stint on the crowdfunding platform is being touted as a success, along with the Veronica Mars Kickstarter that played the role of Braff’s predecessor.

We’re witnessing the beginnings of a trend where celebrity focused campaigns capture the media spotlight, leaving other crowdfunding hopefuls in the shadows.

One such campaign looking to break into the limelight is ChimneySwift11 Goes Live Action!, a campaign centered around gaming YouTuber ChimneySwift11, who currently has over 1.1 million subscribers. Starting on YouTube as a Minecraft commentator, Chimney has recently begun working on live action content similar to FreddieW or Corridor Digital. His first live action video, a 1 million subscriber special titled WWII: POWER GLOVE, has gotten over 18,000 likes and has been loved and lauded by its viewers, as can be witnessed from their comments.

If SWIFT, his first ever Live Action web series, is successfully funded it will be directed by YouTuber Pwnisher, who is known for creating amazing, gaming inspired content like Cardboard Warfare and Sleeping Dogs.

Pwnisher will be teaming up with producer Shawn Wallace (Prototype, Project S.E.R.A) for a second time. Their first collaboration, Dead Island: No Retreat, featured Toby Turner and was done to celebrate the launch of the new video game Dead Island: Riptide.

ChimneySwift11’s project, like many others, is a work of passion made for his fans. While Veronica Mars and Wish I Was Here may be taking the headlines, ChimneySwift11 is another example of a YouTuber that is trying to use the crowd funding platform to give his fans something new and exciting. Be part of the series and do your part to make sure it comes to be here.
