There’s Still Time To Become An ‘Internet Icon’ Through YOMYOMF

We all want to be YouTube stars, but only some of us can sing in a baritone or play Minecraft. For everyone else, there’s YOMYOMF. As we’ve previously mentioned, Justin Lin’s YouTube Original Channel is bringing back its Internet Icon reality show for a second season. With just under a week left for submissions, the Internet Icon team is still looking for talented YouTube people to show to all the other talented YouTube people who serve as judges on the show.

Of course, undertaking such a bold public appearance requires help, which is why YOMYOMF has enlisted the help of The Brothers Riedell, who will serve as the hosts and contestant mentors for Season 2. The Brothers won the first season of Internet Icon, so they know everything there is to know about suddenly becoming Internet famous and raking in more than 100,000 subscribers overnight. To encourage unknown YouTubers to join them on season 2, the Brothers have appeared in a video with Chester See which makes use of multiple timelines. Boy, I feel like I’ve seen that one before

In all seriousness, industrious YouTubers should take note of the grand prize: a cool ten grand. There’s also a Macbook Pro up for grabs, which is not $10,000 but is still shiny and new. If you’re interested in the cash money (or just the fame, or the subscribers, or the chance to hang with YouTube stars), full signup details are available on the Internet Icon Facebook page.

“We were pleasantly surprised by the caliber of talent we saw last year and I can only imagine it’ll even be better for this next round.” said series producer Ryan Higa. If his excitement isn’t enough to get you to sign up, I don’t know what is. How can you say no to this face?
