Ron Howard, Jason Bateman Tweet Photos from ‘Arrested Development’ Writer’s Room

Arrested Development writer Dean Lorey made an announcement on his blog in January confirming everything Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz had signed and said back in November 2011 about the resurrection of his critically acclaimed Fox sitcom that was cancelled before it’s time. Namely, the program would be back for a 10-episde run on Netflix as a kind of prequel to a major motion picture.

Arrested Development executive producer and narrator Ron Howard revealed more evidence of the show’s imminent return by way of social media earlier this week. Christina Warren at Mashable noted the film director, producer, and former child actor (from Gary, Indiana) tweeted photos straight from the show’s writer’s room, featuring himself, Hurwitz, and Arrested Development star Jason Bateman.

As background for the readers who don’t know the show’s history, Arrested Development premiered on Fox for the fall line up in 2003. Unfortunately, 53 episodes and three seasons later, the series ended much to the protest of its vocal fan base. There were talks about a movie or revival of the series ever since the finale in 2006. It seemed as though the three seasons of Arrested Development wasn’t enough.

Filming for the Arrested Development Netflix miniseries begins this summer. The 10 episode arc will be available in full sometime in early 2013. Stay tuned.
