News hit the internet less than two weeks ago that new media studio and distribution network Revision3 was acquired by Discovery Channel. Revision3 CEO Jim Louderback talked to Tubefilter immediately following the announcement and said the sale was the culmination of several months of courtship and the cable channel wants to make sure his new media company doesn’t change a thing under its new ownership.
This week we’ll follow up with Louderback in person as he joins us for a casual conversation that will touch on the Discovery deal as well as delve into how he made his online video company an attractive property (from culling talent to courting advertisers to implementing diverse distribution methods to maximize revenue) that would seriously entice a traditional TV network.
On May 16th, join Tubefilter & FourScreenMedia in association with Videonuze as they present the next installment of Multi-Screen Mix-Up NY at Copia in Midtown Manhattan. The event is free for qualified industry professionals, and them a chance to mix, mingle, and do business while learning about exciting opportunities from leading names in advertising, technology, and entertainment (such as My Damn Channel Founder/CEO Rob Barnett and DECA’s Jeff Eisenberg).
Be sure to RSVP here and we hope to see you there.
