Seth Green Directs Sexy Jedi Lightsaber Battle for Nerdist

It’s May the Fourth! And you know what that means. Happy Star Wars Day!

Because today’s date has homophonic similarities with one of the most famous lines in George Lucas’s epic space opera, geeks, nerds, and other denizens of the internet have made it a 24-hour period in which they pay tribute to Ewoks and Wookies, X-Wings and Death Stars, and everything in between.

CollegeHumor, for instance, is encouraging the web to check out its best Star Wars-related content, like the Webby Award-winning Simon Pegg and Nick Frost interpretation of a convo between droids, the Galactic Empire’s version of Jay-Z’s New York, and installments of its original web series about life from the vantage point of just another clone in the Imperial army, Troopers.

The Nerdist, meanwhile, is debuting a sequel to an online video from a few years back that may be the definition of viral video fodder. SABER

sexy lightsaber underwear fight premiered in 2009 and stars Clare Grant and Rileah Vanderbilt as two Jedis (or a Jedi and a Sith, it’s hard to tell) who lose their outer garments while fighting to be the object of affection for a guy at a bar who at least has some knowledge of the force.

The follow-up just debuted on Nerdist’s new YouTube channel. It’s called Sexy Jedi Bubblebath! Saber 2: Return of the Body Wash, is directed by Seth Green, and again features Grant and Vanderbilt as two masters who know how to handle a lightsaber, except this time there are white shirts, water, and a Wookie involved. (And if you’re wondering how Seth Green became involved, it probably has something to do with the fact he and Grant are hitched.)

Enjoy watching and May the Fourth be with you!
